The Greenport School District opened its first-ever universal pre-K program to students on Tuesday. Principal Joseph Tsaveras said 29 students have enrolled in the new program.
Although the program will run for a full day, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., five days a week, its first week was only half-days, with an 11:30 a.m. dismissal.
